Our Story: How Fiore Was Born

Allison took up floristry as a hobby while working in corporate San Francisco in 1999. While pursuing her Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, she decided to work part time at a local flower shop on 19th and Irving in San Francisco. Under the tutelage of the shop’s wonderful owner she learned the tricks of the trade and how to express her creativity in the medium of flowers.

In 2005, after moving to the Sacramento area and starting a family, Allison and her husband, Paul, decided that it was necessary to start a real business in order to accommodate all of the brides asking Allison to do their wedding flowers, and voila, Fiore Fantastico Designs was born! They are still trying to figure out why they picked a business name that is so hard to pronounce (Italian for Fantastic Flower Designs), but the whole family liked the ring to it. We’ve got a lot of weddings under our belt now. We’ve traveled as far as Finland, as high as Yosemite, and as deep as Texas (Allison loves to travel). We are ready to make your event florally fantastic!
